Frequently asked questions

Where do these details show up?

PDF viewers show them under document properties (File > Properties in Acrobat), and many show the title in the window or tab instead of the file name. Search engines can also use the title when a PDF is published on the web.

Can I see the current values first?

Not on this page yet: the fields start empty. Open the file's document properties in your PDF viewer to check them; any field you leave empty here keeps its current value.

Does it change the content of the pages?

No. Edit PDF Metadata only rewrites the document properties. Pages, text, images and form fields stay as they are.

Is it free?

Yes. Use it free in your web browser, with no sign-up or software to install.

Are my files stored on a server?

No. This tool runs inside your browser, so your file is never sent to a server and never leaves your device.

Which files can I use?

You can add one PDF file at a time.
