How to use Office to PDF
- Select one Word, Excel or PowerPoint document or drop it on this page. Files can be up to 50 MB.
- Click “Office to PDF”. The document is sent to our server and converted to PDF.
- Download the PDF. The original document is deleted from the server right after processing.

Do I need Microsoft Office installed?
No. Office to PDF opens your document with LibreOffice on our server and saves it as a PDF, so you don't need Word, Excel or PowerPoint on your device. You only upload the file in your browser and download the finished PDF.
Can I convert a password-protected document?
No. Office to PDF can't convert a document that needs a password to open, and it shows an error instead. Remove the password in Word or Excel, save the file, and upload it again. If the resulting PDF should have a password, add one with Protect PDF.
Can I keep working on the converted PDF?
Yes. When Office to PDF finishes, the results screen offers “Keep working with this file”, where you can pick a tool such as Compress PDF or Merge PDF and continue without uploading the file again. The PDF keeps your document's original file name.
Is it free?
Yes. Use it free in your web browser, with no sign-up or software to install.
Are my files stored on a server?
This tool runs on our server. Your file is used only while it's processed, never stored, and deleted right after.
