Frequently asked questions
Is the cropped-out content removed completely?
No. Crop PDF only changes the visible area of each page, so the content outside it stays in the file and can be recovered with an editing program. For content that must be removed, such as personal information, use Redact PDF.
Can I crop each page differently?
Crop PDF applies the area you draw to every page in the same proportions. To crop only certain pages, take them out with Extract PDF Pages, crop them, and join them back with Merge PDF.
What if my pages are different sizes?
Crop PDF remembers the area as a proportion of the page size. For example, if you cut off the top 10%, the top 10% is cut off on pages of other sizes too.
Is it free?
Yes. Use it free in your web browser, with no sign-up or software to install.
Are my files stored on a server?
No. This tool runs inside your browser, so your file is never sent to a server and never leaves your device.
Which files can I use?
You can add one PDF file at a time.
